Sage Partners and Sage Foundation - Fundraising Sports Day, London, 16th August

I'm a big fan of Sage Foundation and it's one of the reasons that joining Sage appealed to me. The Foundation supports charities and not-for-profit organisations especially those that help young people, women and ex-military personnel. I support Sage Foundation by getting involved in some of the initiatives (recently I've been mentoring some business students at Regent's University), but I wanted to do more.

My big passion is partners. So I came up with an idea to combine the two - and to raise money, have some fun and facilitate some networking while we're at it. 'School' sports day: think egg & spoon, 3 legged race, sack race...all the classics you remember from your own sports day at school before we all went health and safety mad and no one was allowed to actually win! ;)

So, I've been working with the fantastic team at Sage Foundation to bring this idea to life, and on Thursday 16th August it will all be kicking off (probably quite literally!) in Hyde Park at the Old Football Pitches at 3pm.

The idea is to get together a bunch of teams, made up of 6 people each, and mixing together Sage Partners, Sage staff and maybe some representatives from some of the chosen charities. Kids will be welcome too as it's in the school holidays!

We'd like each team to nominate a charity to support and fund raise at least £200 before the day to enter the competition. You can do this via a Just Giving page or something similar. I'll be fundraising for Mermaids, a charity close to my own heart. Sage Foundation will match all funds raised up to a value of £5000, so it really is a win-win!

If you're a Sage Partner and you'd like to get involved, please email me for more details - I have a very simple little flyer I can send you. And get fundraising!

See you in Hyde Park! :)

PS If anyone can supply a tug of war rope, or 8 pairs of flippers for a flipper race - please let me know?
